2 Month Check-up

Our Baby Gavin is already two months old and yesterday we got the stats.

11lbs 9oz = 50%
25in = 50%
head circum = 75%

aka...PERFECT.

However, the poor child seems to have gotten his mother's intestines as we are starting a good Kyro syrup regimen today =(


What are you up to these days Gavin?

Besides being the sweetest baby on the block, you love love love to kick around on your mat and stare into your own adorable blue eyes in your mirror.  You are an observer just like your brother.  Taking it all in.  Your smiles are huge (especially for Mimi's voice!)and your cooing is heart warming.  That red hair is still on fire, but thinning out on top so we will have to wait and see what comes in.  If your eyelashes are any indication...it will be dark and hasta-la-byebye to the carrot top.  Speaking of eyelashes....you appear to have gotten the Montijo gene.  I swear they are growing by the day!

Your disposition is as sweet as ever (if you aren't trying to push out poop that is!).  Dare I say you are even calmer that Ayden.

I will say though that Ayden was sleeping through the night no problem at 8wks...you on the other hand can go that long without eating...but like to have your diaper changed in the middle of the night or perhaps a binkie re-insertion.  So...momma still hasn't gotten a full night of sleep.  However, it could always be worse and thus I am not complaining!

You are a tummy lover.  You sleep best on your tummy and your favorite position is right on momma's chest.  Makes me calm just writing about it.  I could sit with you on my chest forever.  Such a cuddler.

Finally, surprise surprise...you can eat with the best of them ;) We'll chalk that one up to the Riley genes!

What is Mommy doing these days??

Besides stuffing my face with anything that has 'peanut butter' listed as an ingredient; counting down the seconds until the dreaded day I go back to work; pumping every 4-6 hours, cleaning said pump equipment; preparing bottles; cleaning bottles; storing milk derived from said pumping; organizing the house; picking up after two boys and an infant; running errands; literally running, in an attempt to get back in shape and lose the last few pounds and awesome tummy; cuddling/rocking/burping/feeding/entertaining Gavin; finding time to make Ayden feel special; feeling guilty about not finding enough of said time; playing the 'why's Gavin doing this?' game; potty training Ayden; working to be a good wife/mother/daughter/sister/friend...

not too much!! =)
