This new years brought a barking cough, dual ear infection, wheezing, a fever, some vomiting and lots of mucus =) While this put quite a damper on our new years weekend, in reality it was perfect. We basically stayed in the house for 4 days lying around, entertaining each other, and watching movies (wait...scratch that....watching A movie....Ayden watched Madagascar 2 about 200 times).
Finally Tuesday came and we could finally get Ayden into the Drs. Here he is being a big boy on the nebulizer with a dinosaur face.
If only it went this smoothly at home....
If anyone has tips on how to make this fun for him and more importantly, how to get an (almost) three year old to take deep breaths.....PLEASE LET US KNOW!!!
After a good trip to the Drs and some medicine we are finally on our way to recovery........just in time for Gavin to wake up with the identical barking cough.
Ahhhh, the joys of parenthood =)
Notwithstanding the above, I think this is going to be the best year yet for the Montijo-Riley house. I can feel it in my bones.

talk to chelsea about the breathing treatments because lilly has bern doing them her whole life. happy new year to you guys! hooray for 2012!
so sad! our boys did the same thing (ear infection and barking included), except it was ben that needed the breathing treatment. lovely! glad you still enjoyed bringing in the new year together. hope everyone is feeling lots better!
